Beginnings – The early years

My first boat was a flat bottom punt – bright orange so Dad wouldn’t lose me, but I can’t find a picture of it 🙂

My best mate Lloyd Hatz & Peter Bethell doing battle with a shark off Windang beach in their trimcraft !

My second boat was a 3.4 mtre tinnie which I took to Burrinjuck to fish the Canberra Fisho’s ANSA convention on a box trailer – Who remembers the Friday night stew & Seargent swirl movies?

Then I upgraded to the Stacer 3.9 HD – which I aptly names “The Cure” after my favourite band.
This was our first  “proper” vessel and original “The Cure” – boy we caught some fish out of that 3.9 metre Stacer back in the day 😉
I did LOVE trolling for trout on lake Eucumbene and Jindabyne 😉

This shot is with my mate Lloyd on lake Hume.

Katrina in the snow at Mount Selwyn on our way back across the Snowy Mountains from Lake Hune to lake Jindabyne 😉

We then worked with Quintrex & Peter Flyn through Hornet Heaven at Caloundra to build a fantastic custom 475 Hornet with Mercury Opti-max 75. “The Cure 2” saw plenty of fish go over the side from lake Jindabyne & the Gippsland lakes in the South to Weipa in the North 😉

We had a customised Easy Tow trailer built for our trip from Cooma to the Cape – you can read the full article under the blogs and articles area 😉
Launching at Canie Dam at around 3% capacity
Our 1st trip to Callide Dam in search of a meter barra 😉

So many Boat – So little money!
