Finally some fishing & welcome to my new website!

Our Real Estate business has been busier than we have ever experienced since January this year ( 2021 ) – ironically driven by Civid19 with buyers wanting to escape our more populated areas and many now understanding they can actually work from home and live in a “lifestyle location” as opposed to having to commute in busy city environments.

While we appreciate we are so fortunate that our business has prospered as an outcome of this pandemic – we also realise many of our friends have been presented with unprecedented challenges. So my lack of fishing isn’t really an issue with my thoughts going out to those who have endured months of lockdowns and ongoing challenges!

A noteworthy observation however is the need we as anglers have to go fishing – it is important for our mental health. While being busy in our business anyone who knows me well understands that I NEED to go fishing or I am possibly harder to live with 🙂

You will also notice my new website design which has not been a small undertaking!

After being online now for more than 15 years I felt it was time to update the whole site and bring it across to the WordPress platform going forward.

On reflection I have actually been getting out more than I realised – but had been posting on my social media pages rather than updating my new website – so I am going to backdate this post/blog and catch up to date what I have been up to this year 😉

The longtail & Mac Tuna shots above were with Steve from Shimano who I enjoyed fishing with back at the end of February this year 😉

Being at a point where I was in NEED of going for a fish I made a point to block out some days to wet a line when I saw a weather window and headed off-shore to chase some fish for the table. While most of my mates don’t consider spangled Emporer as a great table fish – I like them 😉

I did manage a few trout as well on my last trip out with Dave Clarke 😉

Check out this cool critter – It is locally known as a “frying pan snapper” 😉

I also finally got to have a day on the water with Chris Green & Cassie who we met at Slip Steam brewing a few years back and they said they had a 6 pack of a limited release of Pepperjack Ale that they would put aside for us when they next visited Hervey Bay 😉

True to their word #cheersguys

Cya’s next trip – which won’t be as long as this update 🙂
