I’ve got the fly fishing bug again !

Chasing those Golden Dorado in Argentina renewed my passion for fly fishing – so it wasn’t long before I headed out on our local flats with fly rod in hand to see if I could find a few Golden Trevally …

It was actually the golden trevally flats fishery that 1st attracted us to Hervey Bay and it is heart breaking to see what has happened to both the numbers and size of the fish today – compared to what they were like only 10 years ago … 

Loving our new Yeti Tundra 50 Cooler which doubles as a fantastic casting platform 😉

We still manged to find enough fish to keep us awake – Nath with a GT 

We also witnessed this large bull shark eating a shovel nosed ray in knee deep water – which made us think twice about getting out for a wade surprise
