I do enjoy the cool mornings and glamour weather conditions that we experiance between June and September – which also corresponds with our snapper season across the Fraser Coast 😉

We often get some quality longtails around the bait schools through winter as well – which are always good fun on 20lb snapper gear !

My favourite go-to snapper plastics include the every reliable Squidgy 145 Pro-Flick bait in Yakka , Squidgy 110mm Pro-Prawns in both curley & paddle tails in white lightning , cracked pepper and blood worm – generally fished on 9gram or 3/8 oz 2/0-3/0 jig heads – I also run 20lb Power Pro Slick Green braid with 20lb Ocea leader 😉

Elephants will eat peanuts – check out the cracking red that mate Adam Marshall caught with me down off Rainbow Beach on an 80mm Squidgy Pro-paddle Prawn in bloodworm !

Adam also managed to land this rippa AJ ( amberjack ) the same day on his 20lb snapper gear – although the rod will never be the same again
