Timmy’s 1st Marlin

There are not many anglers who don’t dream of catching a marlin, and Tim Ross ( Timmy ) was no different.

Tim is good mates with Nathan Nitschink, who I also enjoy fishing with, and we had heard there were a few marlin about – so we put together a plan to head up and get Timmy his first one with No plan B 😉

I also haven’t had many opportunities to run my outriggers since having the system made for our new Signature 543sf 🙂

We raised the first one within 15 minutes, which came up on the daisy chain, and we switched to a skipping gar with a perfect eat – but failed to hook up … Then we missed another one which did similar a few hours later – great bite again on a skipping gar – but failed to come tight with the circle hook…
Third time lucky – this one fully committed, and the hookup was solid immediately, and that is the beautify of circles – one they get on – they rarely fall off 😉 Timmy was stoled, and after a few quick photos, it swam off strongly 😎
You can watch the video above on our Utube Channel – Cya’s next trip 😉
