Armed with some new marks and with the weather set to perfect we decided to head up to Roonies for an overnight trip with the girls .

Checked a couple of spots until we marked fish ,1st drop both Eleasha & Katrina where on – I then spent the next half hour taking fish off ,re-rigging or re-positioning the boat for another drift

The snapper where on the chew – mostly around 50cm on average , with a few better ones thrown in.Eleasha also caught her first emperor – longnose I think ?

It was red hot fishing leading up to dark but quietened off quickly once the light was gone.

We anchored off the beach up near the lighthouse in perfect conditions – Accommodation on “Gadget” was pretty comfy

The morning bite was even better than the previous afternoon – with some monumental wipeouts

Eleasha put in a big effort on one unseen critter for an hour & a half before pulling the hook – big cobe I re coned

This was later followed by more wipeOuts !

It was pretty hot fishing – went through 6 packs of GULP’s

Still Too Many Fish – Scotto
